Summary

Paris and Capulet discuss Juliet’s grief — she weeps constantly and will not see anyone. They suppose that she is mourning the death of Tybalt (since they know nothing of her situation with Romeo). They arrange between them a wedding date for Juliet to marry Paris, just three days from now. Capulet believes that Juliet will agree to this new plan.
