Summary

Capulet, making preparations for the wedding feast, learns from Juliet that she has returned from confession at Friar Laurence’s cell. She pretends to be reconciled to marrying Paris, and asks her father’s forgiveness for her disobedience. The wedding is scheduled to take place the next day, and everyone is pleased with Juliet’s apparent change of heart.
